Warwick volume knob problem? (corvette $$)

Sign in to disble this ad
I've just recently noticed the volume knob on my bass (warwick corvette $$) can be pulled up and for some extra feature that i didn't know of before? Anyway this wasnt a problem first but now i push the volume knob down and turn it all the way up and there is no sound when i pull the switch up and turn the knob all the up my sound comes back.

I checked the warwick website but there were no good explaination what this knob does and why suddenly i can't hear my bass when i turn the volume up as i did before I HAVE TO have the switch pulled up?

On my Streamer, pulling the volume knob puts it in passive bypass mode where it bypasses the electronics. If yours is not working only in active mode, change the battery and try again.

If not a battery you may need some contact cleaner spray to spray down into the potentiometer. Remove the knob from the volume pot and spray the fluid through the straw gently down into the pot and rotate and pull and push on the pot to move it thoroughly through all setting positions. Be sure to make sure the contact cleaner says it is safe for plastic parts or it may destroy your pot. Good luck.

Be sure to keep your bass unplugged from its cable when you're not using it, when plugged in even if you're not playing the bass you still have your preamp energized using battery voltage.
