Warwick vs My old Schecter..;0(

Sign in to disble this ad
I've had a Warwick Thumb 4 string BO...for about 2 months play it alot..problem is I just can't do what I used to be able to do playin my Schecter, (has a neck like a Guitar!!)...I know the Warwick necks are notorius for being like 1/2 a Baseball bat.....Is that what it is or do I still need time to "get acquainted"??

I would think 2 months would be plenty of time to get acquainted with your bass, especially if you play it a lot. My guess is that the thicker neck is harder to move around on, so not as "fast".

Back when I looked at warwicks and got one, they often had two diff neck profiles available for some models. A std extra big and a nicer narrower one. I got one with the narrower neck. if the necks not comfortable compared to your old basses, its time to get rid of it and replace with a bass as playable as your former one imo.
