Washburn Force 4 broken body need to replace

Sign in to disble this ad
I am in a pickle. A house sitter broke my friends Washburn Force 4 Black bass. Dropped it presumably and the body is now cracked. My friend loves how the boat neck (v neck) plays most of all. He doesn't love the pickups for obvious reasons.

I can't find another force 4 bass online right now.....

-Does anybody have a force 4 bass they would be willing to sell to me?

-Does anyone know if I could bolt the neck to a p bass body or any other sort of body? (guessing this is a 'definitely not', but.....)

-Do Force 8 basses have the same boat necks as force 4s?

I'm also going to try to put some nicer active pickups in the bass as a peace offering, which I will research, but if anyone has any ideas, that would be great.

I'm in a time crunch now because someone also walked into his house and snatched his gibson grabber, which is way more of a a tragedy. Still, the man needs a bass.

Any help would be great,
Thanks!

If its the force series I'm familiar with other makers necks wont fit. Due to the extended neck pocket they are made for. Washburn may be able to help you. The House sitter diff owes the price of replacement bass imo.

You sure it's not possible to repair? I've seen good luthiers work miracles.

Thank you all

I was expecting to hear that the neck wouldn't fit on some of other random body. Thank you.

I do know a couple really good luthiers here in Raleigh that have worked some minor miracles on my guitars in the past. I should give them a try. And add some pickups still that warrant the repair.

Otherwise, new bass or cash prize, so my friend can put it to bass of his choice. Where is that cash now, hmm. Either way, I have to find it I guess.

Thanks for the help.
