my local GC has one of these for sale for only $225. the fact that it's active is a BIG plus as i've been looking for an active bass for a while now, and the pups on it look like beasts.

so for anyone with experience, how do you like this bass and would you recommend it?? and is there any basses you can compare it's tone too?? also, i noticed this one has something different about it than the others i've seen; this one has three controls plus what looks like a toggle switch as to where all the others i've seen have 4 knobs and no toggle. should there be any concern for this?? i can't post a straight picture, but here's the link for the used section at my GC if you want a look for yourself..it should be about halfway down the page. thanks for any reguards;

These aren't bad basses, but they don't tend to sell for a whole lot these days (there's one on the Music-Go-Round site for $150). I had an XB-500 (5 string) that I got in a trade that I could only sell for $150 on CL a few years back (with hardshell case). It's a much better bass than what you would typically find in this price range - just be aware that $225 might be more than you can sell it for in the future. Washburn pretty much killed their resale value when they did the whole "Lyon by Washburn" thing that they sold/sell at Target.

With all that said, I still think it's a lot of bass for what you tend to pay for these things today. Just don't expect a whole lot of resale value in the future.

got it. thank you for the reply, and in this case i probably won't buy it unless i really really like it.. that's too bad about the resale, they seem like decent basses IMO from what i've already tried.

anyways BUMP to get a few extra opinions (if that's possible )
