Nice. Pups look like they could be a bit wider to accomodate the E and G though.

OMG!

Do we know if it's set neck?

Where can you get these?

I've been in the market for an 8 string for awhile now, always thought it would be a Waterstone, but this is fantastic looking.

The painful gas I get is from looking at your beautiful 8 string Gibson. Is there a thread on the one?

I know as much as you guys.

Looks bolt on to me.. notice the truss rod adjustment? Bolt on unless you are magical and can get a truss rod in there...

Ah yes, I was so blinded by the sheer 80s hair band bliss and awesomeness to notice those kinds of details.

There isn't a thread but Tom Petersson has it's twin!

This company is in east Nashville (although I'm sure they're not built here). They have a little house here filled with instruments (notice the background of the photo).

I don't think this is the same "waterstone" that makes basses for Tom Petersson. There is like a bootleg "Waterstone" running around out there making basses too. Chinese copy kind. It looks like an Epi body repainted and a "Waterstone"-ish neck on it. I've looked at the official "waterstone" site and there is NO mention of ANY of these basses on their site.

the green bass is really gorgeous-one small thing i didn't like is the speed knobs look askew to me. it didn't seem as pronounced on the purple one, tho. TP's 8 string is awesomeness.

I agree. Those guitars on the back wall were at NAMM last summer..the Cheap Trick Paint Job in the background was done by artist Kii Arens

These are indeed Waterstone basses by the same company that makes Tom Petersson 12 string basses.

Damn, these look cool, esp. that green one! I have no use for an 8 string bass right now, but WOULD LOVE one of these.
