Ok you said all I needed was a PL5050 and I found one!
And it's real beauty at that!
Still has plastic cover on the truss rod and all the hang tags. Basically looks like someone walked out of the store with this yesterday not on July 2 1986 paying $597.45 (including hard shell Ibanez case) from EU Wurlitzer Music Sound in Boston.
I changed the battery (original) tuned it up and played it.
Apparently this model was only made one year and dropped due to copyright infringement.
I've got quite a few Ibanez basses from this period but they all vary quite a bit. And this is my new fav.
It's a real treat to play a "brand new bass" from 1986.
I'm still looking for bean bass and SB1200 (or if I'm real lucky SB1500).
I got blessed with basses (wish I could have been blessed with more musical ability) but there are worse things to spend your money on and I scrimp on other things to over indulge in this passion.
