(I guess the original question should have read, What 5 string bass has the best feeling/playing neck (To YOU)?

I'd say the best one is my Jackson Concert V Pro, but nobody would believe me. |

IMO ...
Custom: Garz (the most comfortable necks I've ever played)
Boutique: Elrick, Pedulla Rapture
Mainstream: Peavey TL and Cirrus series basses |

I'm biased though but in my opinion it's the truth!

For me, it's F-Bass, Kinal, or Dingwall. I've even had a couple nice Carvins...
Never was fussy about the Fender fivers.

SX, by a long shot... | I'm sure he was being facetious, and SX's take a lot of crap from people on these forums, but I love my SX 5'er. Not saying it's better than everything out there, not saying it's worse, but it fits my hands well. Considering the complete subjectivity of this question, that's my final answer and I'm sticking to it.

Also, Lakland has a great shape. The 55-94's are hard to beat. I also love the way Nino shaped my Valenti J5. So smooth and extremely playable. It's a toss up but Skjold beats them out by a nose IMO. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
