Dream-come-true!), the bass player comes down with some incapacitating illness and YOU get called, (since you're one of the most well-known bassists in the area), to take his/her place for the concert they have to perform! You know ALL the material, they have ALL the back line! All you need to do is pick the bass you want to use!
WHAT BASS WOULD BE YOUR CHOICE FOR THIS CONCERT?
(... and "why" is just an option . . .)

Otherwise, either a P or a J or a 'Ray.

In a more realistic scenario,I'd be filling in for Dan Maines from Clutch, and I'd happily rock the snot out of anything with four strings and a pickup! |

I've never even played a tuba. But I feel it would make the occasion even more memorable.

Otherwise, I would grab my trusted ATK300 and as backup, ATK305. (Funny, I believe these basses to be the best for metal, too!)
I would also bring Ol' Blue, my home built J-type 4-string complete with Audere installed. I mean, we are pro's here we're going to have less than two or more basses??
Peace.
