I sorta keep tabs on it online, and it shows up in some cool places too.

My Fender Jag Deluxe (sunburst) generally gets a lot of compliments when I take it places. Mainly from the other musicians. It's not unique enough to cause up much of a stir among the regular crowd...lol.

Although they get a lot of attention from other bassists most of my basses are rather stock and kind of boring. What the women seem to really like is when I'm playing my strat.

One night the keyboard player stopped in the middle of introducing a song to say "what a beautiful instrument!" about my Lakland Deluxe 4-94- amber on a quilted maple top.

It's adorable that you guys think anyone would ever notice a bass on stage.

I kid...

The only thing I've ever had a non-musician really make a big deal about is my 12 string Waterstone.

Lakland Skyline Decade

Lately I've gotten a ton of compliments on my Lakland skyline Decade. Its not modded at all. I really love everything about it. And I'm almost positive that I'm the only bass player in the Philly punk rock scene with a Lakland. Of course i'd love to be proven wrong. But so far everyone that see's it loves it. The body, the pick ups, square inlays. I've never gotten this many compliments on a bass

None of mine get much attention. They are all great basses but pretty bland
looks-wise.

My Roscoes used to get a lot of attention when I owned them though.

My Warwick gets a lot of compliments, mostly because no one around here plays them (especially in the metal scene). My RB690 used to get a lot of compliments because it's not something you see everyday. Whenever I show people the Ab-20 they're usually just like "I didn't know you could get an acoustic bass OHMAIGAWD" and a little part of me dies.

I love that tri color and see it here and there around the internet this one gets people asking questions all the time still.

or perhaps a bizzare shaped bass for the metal-heads?

My new BaCH non reverse Thunderbird II with a Mike Lull pickup. It's a beauty. Not a bad tone I might add.

Actually, whenever I take 'ol Banjozilla out to a bluegrass festival, I spend most of my time demonstrating it and answering questions. It's always a crowd pleaser. And kind of hard to ignore.

It just turned 20. I built it back in 1991-1992. It still stands guard in the office hall of my shop.
Bruce; I have loved Banjozilla since I saw it on the back page of Bass Player Mag. a long time ago!

It totally changed the way I looked at building instruments...

Thank you Sir!... I think.

I seem to get the most comments on these 2.

This one because it's a one-of-a-kind with a somewhat unique look (and sounds amazing)...

...and this one because of the color and the fact that Carvin doesn't make P-Basses.
