Personally I love an All maple neck. It just looks so right and so purty. I honestly hate the look of a rosewood fingerboard/maple neck, but really love the look of an all rosewood neck/fingerboard. Sadly I have only played one neck like that (Was a Stringray 5 at GC and it sounded quite delicious)
P.S. Bonus points for those who make me GAS for a Rosewood/Maple neck through pictures of a sexy bass.
P.S.S. I don't want arguing about which configuration is better. Everyone has their personal choice as to which is better and lets leave it at that. (Because obviously Maple/Maple is the best )

Nut width doesn't so much matter to me, I'm playing exclusively 1 11/16" P-size necks now but I've played others like that I hate and Jazz-width necks I love and hate. Blocks and binding is always welcome too. I like really thick all maple guitar necks though (my Hanson is heaven to me.)

My preference is a very thin Maple neck, with a rose wood slab, unlined fretless, and with a huge nut width. Ideally the maple and rose wood will be quite figured (just for aesthetic reasons), the finish will be satin (for speed), and a nice soft head angle. Two trus rods, with access at the headstock. |

Steinberger!
Okay, maybe not.
I love my Warmoth maple/rosewood jazz neck. Just slightly chunkier than a Fender jazz neck.

Though a guilty pleasure of mine is an unlined fretless burl maple board with tiger maple neck with some crazy amount of lacquer. |

I just can't get with maple unless it's finished ala the Stingray Classic. I just find that on my SR gets really funky, but I still rock it.

That out of the way, I also love ebony boards with no markers of any sort and 1 1/2" nut. And tuners on both sides (ie 2+2, 3+1, 3+2, 4+1, etc). Also either oil or satin finish, no poly or gloss necks for me.

So I have 2 Maple/rosewood , 1 walnut/maple, 2 maple/ebony ( a fretless and a DB )
