Usually the ones I buy, and own, and play.

Just usually, though.

Today it was Gibson, yesterday was Fender (USA). I vascillate between the two because it is just a different kind of bliss but each puts a big smile on my face. I have had (and still have) other basses but it is a tie between these two.

1. Spector
2. Fender
3. Modulus

For me, that covers all basses.

Although, if and when I get my hands on a Guild Starfire...

You are right this is a stupid thread! When someone asks what kind of bass guitar do you play there really are only two answers: A Fender "P" or a Fender "J". Nothing else is really a bass guitar. So what's to discuss?

Not everybody's cup of tea, I know because I've been told by several cats I know. BUT, I'm having a love affair with Brubaker Basses. I purchased a Brute MJX5 in 2011, A Brute Single Cut in 2012, and now I'm having a USA/handmade Brubaker KXB5 made for me in 2013. For me, the way they feel, are constructed and sound is my choice of Bass. I no longer have GAS for any other bass out there. And I own a Fender GL Jazz :-)

Warwick is my number one. Also a big fan of the laklands I've played/owned, so if I needed something more "traditional", that's the way I'd go.
