My new schecter came with a very nice hardshell case, and its got compartments for all kinds of things, but im not sure what to put in them, so far i have a strap, tuner, and strings/stringwinder. what do you keep in your case? and what kinds of guitar polish/cleaner will fit in a case and not ruin my bass, im searously worried about destroying my beautiful schecter. |

| | | | Maybe add a clean soft cloth for wipe downs and polishing. Anything in the case compartments is seperated from bass. so anything in them wont be banging up against the bass when carting case around.

I don't really go for guitar polishes and such as I think they are kind of a scam, but a decent tack cloth will work fine for removing smudges and fingerprints. This is generally what I keep in my case.

You never know what will happen at a gig. +1 to extra battery for an active bass, multi tool , & wipedown cloth. I leave my guitar polish at home, but if you do decide to bring it in the extras compartment, putting it in a tightly sealing sandwich bag would keep it from getting all over the place, should the container leak.

Softshell case has stomp tuner and short cable in top pocket, large pocket has cable, towel, maybe some papers & pencil. I keep my bass very clean but never use polish--don't want it to get on strings.

I put all my leads, power boards, Straps, a set of strings, a Tuner, a couple of 9V batteries, a little tool kit, a cloth and my D.I in a milk crate. Which i then use to get my amp off the ground at gigs.
If its a short gig or a session, i put my bass in a softcase with 2 instrument leads, a strap, a set of strings, a tuner and some spare batteries. |

Tools, batteries, set lists & strings go in an anvil briefcase, and cables go in a padded Moog gig bag. |

| | | | Usually I put a bass in there...
And an instrument cable, tuner, power cable to my amp, chord charts/music if needed, strap, dead bodies, and my Game Boy on occasion. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
