Do any fellow TB'ers have only one manufacturer or have a majority of one manufacturer? If so, why?
I'm thinking if I had the cash, I'd probably never buy more than one of a particular brand...
Your thoughts???? |

Seeing as I don't have the money, it seems to be my two squires... and an ESP.

I usually GAS for something different than what I've already got - of course you can never have too many Jazz basses... |

While I do own other basses (Spector, Fender, EBMM, Ibanez & Hamer, just to name a few), something about the look, feel and sound of Rickenbacker basses keeps me coming back for more. |

No, seriously, I consider "collecting" sort of a tragedy. I mean, it's NOT really, but I still feel like the teenager who could only afford a Kay Rickenbacker knock-off, watching bands smash guitars, hear people talk about the basses they never play, and getting sort of angry about it (and that was a LONG time ago). Intellectually I realize people should do with their money what they want to, but in my gut it still sort of rankles.
So now days, when I realize I have more basses than I can play, I try and convert them into something I WILL play. The idea of having a room with stuff in it I just look at... it's a foreign concept to me. Don't be a Yngwie! |

If I did I'd probably have a collection of P-basses made between 1951 and 1968.
Boring, right?
I do collect music, films, books and Halloween paraphrenalia.

I have 2 Yamaha BBs and 2 G&L L-2000s. Otherwise, I have one from other manufacturers. I'm not that in love enough with one maker. |
