All I hear on this forum is praise for it. I can't speak for playability, but man, do I HATE that sound. I watched Ed Friedland's video on the L2000, and despite the claims about versatility, it always had that ugly raspiness to it. What's so special about these? |

For the rest of us, quality is as high as anything out there; tone is very unique and versatile; playability is superb. They've had their share of problems over the years, but when they are right, they are *really right*.
Besides, don't knock the tone till you've actually played it in a band setting. They aren't the best "bedroom" basses, so if that's your thing, you won't like them. Get 'em into a real mix and see what happens. It might surprise you. It did me... |
