What the heck is this bass?

So I recently purchased a mystery bass on ebay. The seller was a pawn shop and didn't know anything about it but I noticed the headstock was a '62 RI MIM so I picked it up. I got it in the mail today and immediately noticed this is a very different bass from anything I've seen.

I took a few pics of the body itself. The neck is definitely a '62 RI Mexican from 2006, so I had no doubt about that. The body has so many differences from a '62. I've never seen a bass body like this (the closest would be Deluxe Active J-basses). Here are some things I've found about it:

-There is no thumbrest holes like a '62 would have (although, not sure if MIMs had thumb holes stock I cannot remember)

-It looks like American Jazz pickups are in it (they have a black plastic bottom with a number on it

-Fishman bridge which is probably aftermarket

-Active electronics with battery access on back. The access looks stock.

-What looks to be a stock route for the chip in the body

-The control plate has 3 pots - first two control the pickups, third must be overall tone; the the 4th is not a pot but a square shaped "switch" (I don't know what they call them). The jack is on the side and not in the control plate.

-None of the routes look like they're not stock. If they are, the person went through a hell of alot of work making them perfect.

-The sticker under the neck pickup indicates it's a MIM body; the number of it and the one on the neck is very very close, but not the same

-Pots are 2006

-Came with a Tort guard

-Finish is 60's sunburst?

Does anyone recognize it?

Wow, I've never heard of one of those! So the '62 decal is Power Jazz bass stock?

Does the stacked knob in the 4th position control the piezo?
