What is an inexpensive fretless 6 string worth getting?

I very much like my Peavey Grind BXP 6. I've heard people say stay away from the Grinds....but i'm not sure why. My only gripe is that it's fairly heavy. I like the set neck (not a bolt on.) I like the through-body bridge, I like the 35" scale and the subsequent nice low B (even when compared to the Ibanez SR506 I was considering,) and I very much like the mids heavy growly/grindy tone I get out of out. I believe I picked it up used with a case for just over 200 here on TB.

Brice makes one. I was really considering one for a while, but decide to stick with five strings for a while. That may change soon though...

My Grind (5) is a very friendly weight, compared with other 5 strings I've played. Nice neck too. (I don't play/own 6's, but the Grind 6 seems very similar). Most 5's & 6's are active from the factory, so the passive electronics of the Grind may make some players feel limited, tonally, but all in all, they are good basses. OP would have to de-fret himself, though, AFAIK the Grind is not available fretless.
