He's playing the same bass in this vid & I think maybe same brand as the one sergio groove is playing? Pipoquinha does kinda dispell the notion that smaller folks cant get comfortable with a sixer. YouTube - ‪MICHAEL PIPOQUINHA & SERGIO GROOVE - GRAVAÇÃO DO DVD NO TAM‬‏

Wouldnt be surprised if it did turn out to be a brazilian made small lutheir brand.

Lol it does at times sound like his action is a little too low causeing a little bit of string damping from excessive fret buzz. Doesnt do that so much in the 2nd vid. Perhaps he got the action raised just a tad for some strings that needed it. Any idea on the brand/luthier that made the bass? One of the nicest looking single cuts Ive seen.

Brazil has some great custom bass builders. I recently caught Sergio Groove, Ney Neto,
Celso Pixinga. They were all sporting Brazilian made basses. All wicked hot players too.
Groove plays bass, timbales & sings all at the same time.
