I held off buying this album cuz I figured I already have several versions of every George song there is. I finally bought it and it's really good. What bass is playing on this track? Is it a Pbass? I'm digging the tone.

I did a little research and it looks like Klaus Voormann played the bass to this song. Another TB forum says Klaus used a p-bass that was shaved and painted psychedelic colors.

if it was him, here's voormann with his p bass -- looks like there's some rolled up cloth for a mute under the strings, which gels with the sound on the recording
