Question What model is my bass??

Hello.

I've been trying to find out what model my Washburn bass is. It's bought about 30 years ago and looks like the one in this pic:



The only difference is, this one is with frets.

Hi , I don't know - but a friend of mine has one that I am sure its very similar if not the same - caveat - very inexpert eye.

I'll come back if he can help.

If your bass looks like this it should be a 1979 Washburn Vulture:



ED: According to Washburn lore this was the "B" style Vulture, probably built by Yamaki.

i tried one of those once and thought it was a bit heavy. how much does yours weigh, just out of curiousity?

It is pretty heavy, but unfortunately I do not know exactly how much it weighs.

Interesting having the P pickup right up against the neck. Must be a huge shift between those pickups tonally.

That's a cool bass. Definatly high end from back then . Looks like a 3pc neck through with ash wings ? String through body (unheard of back then). Does yours have the wood control cover ? Or is it plastic? Cool rare bass.
