Looks like a Gibson "Basic" with bubinga body wings and a maple/purple heart neck.

this thing was $4800 new... I thought it was a Basic.. any more info I can get from the serial #

Gibson could probably give you a date from the Serial #.
It's a Gibson Basic, for sure, though. Maple/purpleheart neck, and does look like bubinga wings.
