For my 2008 MIA American Standard.
It is Olympic White. It came with a Tort PG, and it looked great. I also tried White pearl (ok, but....), and parchement (not very nice IMO). A TBer impressed me with abalone, but it's on Blizzard pearl. What are your choices ?
For my 2010 Custom shop Jazz.
It also came with a tort PG, but I've seen quite a few cherrybursts with white pearl, and I just love it. Again, what is your preference.
Thanks

| | | | I'm digging the Blue one on the white bass, and the white one on the burst bass.

| | | | Tort on both. Maybe 3-ply black on the white one, but definitely tort on the burst. I'm pretty much in three-choice land with pickguards: parchment, tort or black. |

White Pearl on the CherryBurst.

I love the white pearl on the white also; but think it looks even better with a maple board. With the rosewood, I like the tort.
And on the Custom Shop, they both look great. Personally, the tort grabbed me more; but as somebody else suggested, use both. Just rotate them when you feel like it.
I love the abalone on the Blizzard Pearl (I'm guessing that pic is from Eagle Moon's '08 Jazz!) , but I'm not so sure about how it would look on the Olympic White. But the tort looks great with the rosewood board.
