What's going on TB!

Greetings fellow low frequency warriors!

I have browsed the TB forums for quite a while reading and learning but never posting.

I figured I would say hello with pictures of my main squeeze.

Fender MIA 5 string P deluxe 60th Anniversary

I am waiting on the neck for my first Warmoth build that will hopefully turn out pretty sweet. :bassist:

Cheers,

Mike.

Welcome to the deep end of the low end of the butter pool. :D

That is one sweet P-bass!

Very beautiful. I love P-basses in general, but that is particularly sweet.

Welcome to TB!

So on 5 string P basses the A string uses the bridge side of the split pickup? Interesting, I've never noticed that before.

Ooo, nice. Somebody spent some money.
A true American Icon.

No: I think it's on that particular 22 fret dualcoil bridge pickup American Deluxe...

Otherwise, I'm more than certain that American Standard PVs must be B, E, A (lows: neckside) D, G (trebles: bridgeside)

Cheers,
Wallace

That is one the finest basses Fender ever produced IMO. My P5 Deluxe is my main gigging axe. It records beautifully and has a huge range of tones ranging from old school Pbass to Jbass and even approaches Stingray tones with humbucker bridge pickup and powerful midrange scoop.
