What's a good pickguard look for Fiesta red? Other than tort? Basically the title says it all. I have been GASing over a budget jazz bass to do some mods to and give a vintage look to. Getting more interested in a Jay Turser jazz bass and the Fiesta red option is really cool. What pg colors/materials look good with Fiesta red that would keep a vintage look? |
Mint green |
Parchment or a subtle mint. |

I like white or gold anodized. |
Black. |
Why not tort? :( |
Or you can just go right over the top ... ![]() |
I love the combination of red and black, so I say black. But Totem, that's just awesome! |
Gold anodized. |
White Pearloid. |
The Jay Turser comes with a black pg. Im leaning towards white pearl or mint. I also found a mint pearl. That would be a nice go between. Something to fit with a set of ashtrays and/ or white pup covers. |
Have you looked at the black anodized from WDMusic? Is it the mint green pearl from Jeannies? Not sure how it'd go with the red, but it is the one that is going on the turquoise Jag SS #2. Their black cherry pearl or rust & black vein might be worth a look see. |

Another vote for gold anodized. |
Tort |

I m quite strongly leaning towards white pearl or tort. Stocker is black. I have seen a number of Fiesta strats with white pearl guards and its a snazzy classic look. Btw, can't wait to see the #2 Jag project. I really love your red and gold Jag. |

Gold anodized. I've been looking for different options for this bass so I'll keep an eye out in here for some more pics! ![]() |
My first choice is white, but this looks very good. Quote:
