Plain, simple, subtle.

I'm surprised that no one put up a Kubicki Factor...I don't see much about those basses on TB.

It all depends on what the bass looks like, a Fender headstock isn't going to look right on a BC Rich bass.

Plain old Fender four, thank ya. The graceful shape of the volute while I'm behind it playing away is pure beauty.

Hard to believe that after 7 pages of posts no one has mentioned the distinctive Vaccaro headstock...

So I already threw in my vote for Chris Stambaugh's standard headstock:

but how many builders will make you a completely custom headstock?

i also forgot that parker makes a bass now, so I also love their fly headstocks.

I like a lot of 5 string headstocks, maybe because of the 2+3 alignment.
Like Fodera, Spector and MM 5's. Skjold is also high on my list, but I like the 4's better on that one.

Hey, look at this headstock.

I'm also fond of these:

Unfortunately I can't seem to find an example on line to show you guys.

Sadowsky and Lakland 5 strings headstocks

Sadowsky and Lakland 5, are my favorite headstocks. The lower "S" in the Sadowsky, and the beautiful 3/2 arrangement of the Lakland are very ingenious.

No photo atm as the bass is at home but I like my Vaccaro 5er; at first glance it looks like a Kramer, but then people notice the 5th tuner.
