I traded a Squier Standard Jazz (rare-ish satin pewter with the matching headstock) that I jumped through some significant hoops to get my hands on. For what, you might ask? A Squier VM Jaguar Special in Candy Apple Red.
Why would I go through with such an imbalanced trade? Easy…so I could pass it on to a protege of mine. Specifically, the daughter of a friend for her very first bass guitar. And not just her first, but the one she declared, "That's the one I want!" when we were reviewing different models.
At times I really miss that Jazz, but I know, deep down inside, that it was worth it.

I felt a great disturbance in Las Vegas…as if thousands of Elvis impersonators cried out and then suddenly left the building.
