Whoa, I'm still trying to wrap my head around this. You had over 225 identical Foundations spread across at least 23 different locations? Why?

Endorsement...

...Do you think Tiger gets ONE set of clubs to last him the whole season?

I understand endorsements (though I've never had one). But there's a very wide middle ground between one and 225.

I guess maybe it was in case someone had to take a picture of him standing in front of 20+ copies of his bass at any given moment anywhere across the globe?

Thanks to everybody that's replied. Let's see if anyone out there can claim triple digits. Don't be shy. We won't hate you...much.

Does anyone have 100 or more?

I have four basses, and one of them is for sale. I think I'll be happy with three.

But, I've already been through the "you can never have too many" thing with guitars, and I realize that, for me, it doesn't work. I still have 14 or 15 guitars, and I could sell most of them and not have any regrets. I have 3 listed on Craig's list now, I could list 8 more tomorrow.

Collections are cool, but I'm not a collector.

A guy already posted that he had around 140, look back a page or two.

That is somewhat disturbing. Do you typically have liaisons with your basses and do they get jealous?

Wow. I had five basses at one point last year, and it felt really unnecessary, so I sold two. Not knockin it, but I'm kind of shocked. 3 Basses (Including a $100 Applause acoustic thing), 3 Guitars, 3 bass/Guitar amps, and a banjo, feels like a TON of gear to me...

I've been playing bass since 1974, and until 2002 I owned only one bass at a time. I now have four and have owned a total of six in my life. Obviously, I don't "win" this competition...but I sure enjoy the ones I have.
