I tried out the Fiver and I liked the sounds I was getting. And wow, did it look nice! (unblemished white bass with matching headstock, no dings or nicks) Unfortunately, I couldn't get used to five strings so I sold it. It's a shame they don't make any white four-bangers. If they did, I'd have one by now.
I liked the ebonol fretboard enough that when I started a parts-bass project I bought a used black four-string, harvested the neck and sold the body to a local TB'er. From what he tells me, he loves the sounds and the inherent versatility he was getting out of it.
