Worst Relic Ever?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/STANDARD-FEN...-/251209791502

Wow. And they apparently have sold several of these things? And people like them?

"We in fact spent many hours on all of our guitars and basses to get that unique and authentic look."

Agreed. That thing looks like sh*t.

Looks more like a squier body salvaged from a garage fire with some new hardware put on it. Definitely doesn't look road worn.

So many clowns on ebay.

Looks like a cross between an oil spill and a wildfire.

You'd think given their pride in their relic-ing, they'd age the hardware also.

I like it. The hardware is a joke, though.

For the price they get for their guitars and basses I don't think it is to bad.
Half the price of a Fender MIM relic.
Their feedback is good.

You do get what you pay for

Funny that's one of the few Fenders I actually liked. It's not a true road worn look it's more like a chemical burn but I like it.

Now this is a disaster..

Who can believe a reliced body with shiny hardware and a neck that does not look like it has ever been played!

Yeah was my thought. How "authentic" can it be with a new pickguard, bridge, pickup covers, control plate, etc.

Maybe the term "partially restored relic" would be more appropriate.

Well... I kinda like it. I guess that I don't think of it as a "relic" but more of a unique finish. I dig it. I don't need relic style hardware. I like it the way it is.

I like it... although I'd prefer a P-Bass version.

The serial number on the headstock reveals that they are taking 90's, MN series MIM basses and giving them the "treatment."

I like it. And while I agree, it's horrible if they are calling that a relic job, I like that it looks like the finish has melted off.

It looks like it was in close proximity to a moderate sized nuclear blast.
