Would a Lakland Darryl Jones look strange on me?
So I am a big dude. 6'5 and around 240-250 lbs depending on the time of year. I usually play p basses and jazzes. I've been loving the look of the Darryl Jones signature but was wondering if the slightly smaller body would look strange on a dude of my size. By strange I mean disproportionate or like a miniature jazz bass.
Any thoughts or does anyone know how much smaller the DJ4 body is compared to a standard jazzer?

Well, DJ isn't a little guy and the bass looks good on him.

I'm not quite your size (6'0", 220), but I play a DJ and am quite comfortable with it. I own several other jazz basses, and the DJ doesn't seem noticably smaller to me.

Yeah, I'm 6'5" on a good day, a lean 215 lbs and I had a DJ5 and it was perfect. I've seen a DJ4 also and they're not that much smaller than a standard Jazz... barely noticeable.

It depends whether your primary interest in playing bass is to make music, or to make a fashion statement.

It's only slightly smaller. I'm 6'6 and play medium scale and short scale basses that have smaller body's than a DJ. They don't look like they're too small for me at all. And to many people, a regular bass looks like an oversized guitar anyway.....
