The luthier and single proprietor, Randy Wyn Fullmer, is an amazing craftsman. Of the very small amount of mentions here on talkbass, they compare his work to Fodera for thousands less. The wood he uses is unlike any I've ever seen... This bass belongs to Robin Zielhorst of Cynic. Heartwood and Sapwood.
So...what do you have to say about them? Anyone own one?

I am because Randall get's it!!! My first experience with him was that of a man truly dedicated to his craft. He is so genuine in wanting you as the player to have what you want in an instrument. I have played quite a few of his instruments and have yet to find one that I dislike...for any reason. They are phenominal sounding/playing instruments and, through him, I was able to find what has become my voice.
I admit, it is tough to just find one as is the case with any custom builder. However, look him up @ Wyn Guitars, contact him, and he will gladly point you in the dirrection of anybody that may be close to you that has one. Another option is if you have a connection to get into the NAMM show. I will be there with him and both of my basses will be there along with the wonderful creations he brings to the show.
If you have any questions about Wyn that I can answer, I'm available. If you would like to contact Randall, he is very approachable and will give you any info you desire.

So much so, in fact, that I am now also a Wyn owner. After reviewing this bass, I just had to have it! |

The good thing is that his shop is 15 minutes from my house and to visit him there is like going to a wood filled Toys R Us. He has an amazing stockpile of some of the most exotic woods.
His basses are easily as good as anything that Fodera puts out and they are about 1/3 the price. And once you play one, you'll want one. I want two. Fretted and fretless. |

| | | | Randall is at the top. I wanted to say hello at NAMM but he was busy. They should be blowing up at twice the price. Lines, design, setup, options. Big Dawg. |

otherwise, from an artistic standpoint, they look amazing. |
