So I just purchased a BB425X in Red Metallic. Does anyone have one in Red Metallic? Share some pictures.

Good choice, I've got a BB424x in vintage white, feels amazing, better than a Fender to me and that unfinished neck makes playing easier. The pickups also sound amazing, you can get alot of tones by playing with the PUP selector and tone knob

I haven't seen a Red Metallic on these forums yet. Does the red have a shimmer to it in the light?

BB basses kick butt from Japan though Taiwan and Indonesia all the way to the United States.

Own a BB5000 and owned a BB415. Just great instruments.

My BB425X is now on the "Brown" truck out for delivery. Excited One of the best feelings. I hope it gets delivered safe and without issues.

Well that is a good question. I had ordered one and they were back ordered to come in on 3/25. Last week I spoke to MF and they told me that they pushed it back to 4/25. And they where not even sure they would come in then. So I decided to go with my original choice the Yamaha. I felt that a higher power (Bass God ) wanted me to get the Yamaha .

I wondered what happened. Too bad you missed last weeks MF special. They were selling the P5 in black for $299 for one day only.

So after playing the BB425X for a while I have to say I really like the bass. Fit and finish is top notch. You can get a lot of tones out of this bass. It does have a hot output. The neck just feels great with that unfinished feel. It came with a nice low setup and strung with A'ddario's. These are not my cup of tea. I would need to restring it with my favorites GHS Boomers.

I need to spend more time playing with the different tones. I do have a few questions.

1. Can you adjust the bridge pickup height?

2. While going over the bass with a microscope I found a tiny hair line crack on the body near the neck pocket. Maybe 2mm or smaller you can't even feel it. You would never see it unless you held it in the light in the right angle. Something to worry about or am I being to anal?

I never noticed the bridge on the 5er before. How does extending the string past the saddle effect anything?

Thinking about getting one myself. I had a bb415 and sold to a buddy. He bought as a backup for his bb5000 and will not sell it back. Lol
