This thread has the potential to be a real jaw-dropper, so lets not be shy with the pics!

EDIT: That one on the left is a real hottie! I love the colour and the "scooped" section! Very pretty basses indeed, I wouldn't mind a TRB 6 string some day, if I can ever find one with 34" scale (might have the be a TRBJPI)!

yes funny thing is the red one looks really nice but the brown one plays and sounds like a dream, in fact i need to set the intonation on the red one as you can probably see that its not set up.

I tried a new TRB1004 at GC a few months ago, and I was really quite impressed. They seem like a VERY good value. The neck is fast, and the body looks gorgeous. I once owned a BB1500A, and it was also an excellent value.

That's a nice looking bass What is the string spacing on it? Similar to the older BB's at 19mm??

if you can go with the japanese for playability, construction and feel, go with the new trb range for looks IMO.

Agreed. The Japanese TRBs are superior from a build quality and playability standpoint. The newer ones (made in Korea I think???) look cooler, but the Jap stuff is still the best....

No, but Musician's Friend will trade you a TRB 1006 for $900.

The TRB 1006 is a great six string bass. As are the 1004 and 1005. I'm not a big fan of the fretless one though.
