The pre in my trbII stopped working, has anyone found a replacement that is like the yammy pre that is already in it?

This is generally a $0.50 fix. It's usually the IC op amps that go bad on preamps. Just get yourself some replacement ICs and drop them in (or find someone to do it for you). You've got nothing to loose.

Well, I´ve had this TRB1005 for about like 3 years now and after some small adjustments after I bought it and electronics fixing, it´s been the best bass I´ve had. Low action and nice neck.

Umm sorry my bad english, I´m not sure if I understood your message completely but yea the body is Maple/Alder and the neck is Maple

The one I got, seems to be discontinued/the model is updated nowdays, but I guess the specs have stayed the same..

Even 37" scale basses are a little small next to the U.S.S. TRB-6II

This guy has been mine since new, about 13-14 years ago now I think. Got a lot of battle scars to show for it all, but still plays like a dream.
