It's a 2006, it has the chunkier neck.

| | | Disclaimer: My best was rough around the edges when I got her, used. After a major cleaning, oiling a fret board that was so dry it creaked, shimming the neck to level it and a good setup, she's turned into a dream when it comes to playability.
That said: My best, believe it or not, is a Rondo SX.
And yea, the intonation is perfect. $120 well spent.

I don't have much money in any of my basses, but my newest and most expensive addition is the best player even if it currently needs fret-leveling. (I'll get to that later today) :-) |

| | | | Both of my basses play extremely well. Both get used pretty much equally, and can work in any situation that I get into.
I think the more expensive one is my Schecter stiletto extreme-4 ($400?). The other is a super low cost parts P bass ($350 total).

I am toying with picking up a SUB. They look fun. |

My main Carvin bass (LB70) has better tone and playability than my Carvin B4 and my Gibson Flying V bass, but those are all within about $100 or maybe $200 of each other in cost. I'm also not 100% sure whether the LB70 costs more than the B4 due to options, but I'll assume it is for this purpose since it is a more expensive base model.

And I've got lots more to choose from as well.
So I answered YES to the pole but I'd rather have said MAYBE!!

My most expensive bass is a 2007 Gibson Zebrabird limited edition. It is truly a fantastic bass, beautifully made, and feels great all over. However, there is something about the neck shape that I just can't jive with, it always ends up cramping up my hand. I'm sure for someone else who digs the neck, it would definitely be up there as a Best Player. For me though, I consider my Fender AVRI Precision and Jazz as tied for best players, they go back and forth as my #1.

So I answered YES to the pole but I'd rather have said MAYBE!! | A definite maybe for me too! I really can't decide how to vote. My most expensive bass is my Alembic Epic fretless 6er. I actually forked out two grand for it back when (check current prices for a shocker!). I was in love! And it is definitely one killer bass. But I'm sorry, it still does not measure up to my "best bass" of the herd. That would be my Modulus (also 6er) TBX. Nothing comes close. 35" scale. Graphite neck-thru. Three Barts, killer wood and B string to die for. But I got it used for $700. New, though I think they were quite pricey. So how to vote? I don't know. |

The only bass I've played that came close is a '83 Alembic Series I short scale (SC)
