My 2 main basses are my Elrick NJS 5'er and my Peavey USA Cirrus 6'er. My Elrick has great tone and is a nice bass but as far as playing goes, the Cirrus feels better. I can get the neck a lot flatter on the Cirrus than on the Elrick. The neck also moves every time the seasons change. The Peavey's neck is rock solid and unmovable. I've never had to tweak the truss rod on the Cirrus but my Elrick needs it tweak every 3 months or so. The Elrick could probably be resold for around $1500 and the Peavey would probably go for $1000 on the used market.

A couple of my personal builds are better players for me... But, since I haven't paid over a grand for any of my instruments, it's all a wash. So I choose carrots.

Your SR costs more than your ric, hence it plays better...science.

For me it is a tough call which is best, my basses all do different things. I would probably say my Dingwall is a better player than my Carvin but that is because I can shred a 4 faster than a 6. My basses new all come in around the $1500-2000 mark.

There is however no comparison in my worst bass to the rest of my stable, it is one of if not the most mentioned bass in the worst bass you ever played thread, the Squier VM fretless jazz. It is definitely the cheapest bass in my stable. It only become a mildly decent player after hours of man time. I would consider it unplayable as a fretless right out of the box.
No way bro, ricks in general cost more than stingray classics. just use the search function and browse through the sales section. If you have a rick going for 1200 Id buy it from you on the spot

My best player is my 'cheapie' Squier VMJB. I still love my Schecter C-4, which cost a few hundred more dollars, but it has become the back-up. The all maple goodness of the Squier can't be underestimated. Feels awesome to play! I'm also digging the Duncan Designed pu's on the Squier over the EMG's (wich I also dig), on the c4.

I voted yes because my sound gear Sr505 is light years ahead of the yamaha rbx360 I own.

My most expensive bass is my Modulus Q5, it was my main bass for 11 years. Now I have to deal with a bad back and its freakin' heavy, therefore, I play my Ric 4003 and my Fender American Standard Jazz. I now only play the Q5 if I go lower than E. However, it plays awsome. If it didn't weigh so much it may be my #1.

I'm not sure which of my two best players is the better player and I'm also not sure which one cost more new. I think they are equal both fronts if not very close. A Warwick Corvette Standard fretless and an Ibanez GWB35 fretless. They do such different things it's hard to judge. I'll say yes.

Hard to say

I play out my American Jazz Deluxe most at my church gig, but i play my Martin Acoustic at home more, and it comes to living room gigs. I love them both, and they are my only basses. The Martin BC15 is slightly more expensive, so I'll pick that.

Difficult to say, but I leaned toward yes. Sadowsky NYC 5 string is easier, faster and has better sound, but the Pedulla Fretless 4 and Ibanez BTB 6 are so different that it is not an easy comparison.

My most expensive bass is a Fodera, and none of my other basses are better players. However, I can't say that the Fodera is a better player than many of my other basses - F Bass, LeCompte, Drozd, Sadowsky, Lakland, Yamaha and even a couple of my Fenders. Once you get to a certain level of craftsmanship, playability shouldn't vary a lot between basses of different brands. Of course, different neck shapes and other factors can make different basses play differently. It depends on what you're used to when you decide whether one plays better than the other.

My SR Classic 5 plays better than anything I've ever owned.

It is the most expensive bass I own. By a slim margin it is not the most I've ever paid for a bass.

Nope. My Italia Modulo was my most expensive but is the worst player. Best is either my Epi Thunderbird or Squier Mike Dirnt P, which were both half the price of the Italia. My Warwick RockBass Corvette is somewhere in the middle on both counts.

Yes, my 1985 Wal MK1 fretless, plays like a dream.
Worth ever penny. so much so. I don't like to take it to gigs.
It's too nice.

But a close second is my 1971 P-Bass.

Not in my case,

My 1960 Jazz Bass is easier for me to play compared to my Alembic Series I 5 string.

The Jazz Bass was also the cheapest for me to buy.

Yep, even though it's a six string, my F Bass BN6 is the best player I have, I think because the neck is so thin, front to back.My american Jazz and warwick corvette are easy to play also but I have to think about what I'm doing more, if that makes any sense..

Nope. I have two basses right now, a Fender Precision Lyte ($900) and a Traben Chaos 5 ($400).

The Traben is better.

My best player is a Squire p bass..with upgrades. While my most expensive is my MIM 5 string jazz bass. Unfortunately I still have not been able to get the action where I want it yet
