Acoustic Image Launches Most Affordable Combo

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC (November 5, 2011): Acoustic Image today announced the launch of its most affordable combo, the Series 4 Contra. With a street price of $899, the new Contra is a single channel, fixed head combo delivering 300W of music power through the same crossover and speaker components (10-inch down-firing woofer, plus forward-firing midrange and tweeter) as the Series 4 Coda combo.

Along with other AI heads and combos, the new Contra also offers Automatic Voltage
Switching, eliminating the possibility of amplifier damage when playing around the world—and is protected by the industry’s longest and most comprehensive warranty.

“The new Contra is designed to appeal to musicians of all kinds who require less power and fewer features in a combo,” said Rick Jones, AI’s Founder and Chief Designer. “But while it is our most affordable model, it is as much a professional tool as any of our combos, providing the dependable, transparent 360-degree sound on which our reputation is built.”
