Welcome, dude. I still fondly remember that blue Jazz Plus I bought from you back in 1999 or so...it's still here in Branson, though I'm not sure who's playing it.

You mean Mickey Gilley? Kevin Brashears (sp?) is still with Mickey, yeah. The blue Jazz got married to a 5 string neck, then the new hybrid was sold to a fella named Dave Clark who then sold it a few times since then...dunno who has it now.

It did serve as a catalyst tho. That body design became my template for the next 3 five strings I had built; sending it to Warmoth to have them copy, and now I'm having that design (slightly modified) to send off to Chris Stambaugh to have one done really well this time. The others are OK, but I want something really top-notch.

Hows things in AZ. I moved from Sierra Vista to Astoria, OR a year ago. Things still cool in Sun City? Welcome to Talkbass! I usually hang down on the DB forum now instead on alt.guitar.bass Again, welcome. Hope you head up a forum here. Could there be a "Dude's nudie Barr" here?

I've been here on Talkbass since before I started the Pit bro. Things in Sun City are, well, as good as can be expected in a geriatric community where they have daily golf cart accidents...it pretty much sucks but what am I gonna do?? Gotta take care of the folks! I doubt there will be a "Dude's Nudie Bar" here on TB and my association with Big Bottom just flips me into an RSS Newsfeed system that I really don't understand nor care to understand. I'll just be contributing to Dale's thing as I get time and have no clue where it'll wind up.

I'm honored to have been asked to contribute and will pass along bass news as I get it in and may find time to publish some of my yet unpublished interviews I have with the likes of Jack Bruce and Steve Harris. I also plan on writing some editorials on a few topics like my thoughts on "Player vs Collector" mentality and other topics I find intersting.

Hey, I'm playing a Bongo now so who knows what I may come up with ya know??

Thanks for the welcome!!

Not yet, but that is something I'll keep an eye out for; I'd like to check it out!
