Stu Hamm Joins Roy Vogt’s 2nd Annual Fantasy Bass Boot Camp

Stu Hamm – universally acknowledged as one of the world’s pre-eminent bassists and bass instructors – is one of this year’s special guest instructors at Roy Vogt’s Fantasy Bass Boot Camp (FBBC), Sunday, July 28 through Saturday, August 3.

The 2nd Annual Camp, sponsored by The Learning Dock, (TLD) LLC - producers of Roy's multi award-winning Teach Me Bass Guitar (TMBG) - will be headquartered at Nashville’s prestigious Gaylord Opryland Hotel. The camp will constitute a week-long workshop of intensive instruction for up to sixteen TMBG owners from Europe, Canada, and across the U.S.

Joining Vogt and Hamm will be veteran FBBC staffers, including Nashville’s own Adam Nitti and Tim Smith.

TLD CFO Barbara Crossman says: "The course is designed for all levels: beginning, intermediate, and advanced-intermediate TMBG owners. Original music will be written emphasizing the skills students will be learning and sent to each Camper 2-3 months in advance, so they’ll have time to get familiar with it. Then, during Camp, Roy and staff will teach and challenge students to increase their bass playing skills and ramp up their playing, culminating in a live performance with the TMBG Band – professional Nashville studio musicians – at The Rutledge on Thursday night, and an all-day recording session on Friday, with the band, at The Sound Emporium."

"The idea is to create an experience that really lives up to the "fantasy" label," says Crossman. "We want students to take home not just exciting new skills that will propel their playing to the next level, but happy memories of their time in Nashville that will last a lifetime. Of course, video cameras will record the week and students will receive Quicktime files of their experience and an mp3 of their recording session."

Adds Vogt: "This is an exceptional faculty of instructors - highly-skilled professionals who are known throughout the bass-playing world for their skills as performers and teachers.”

The cost for FBBC is $3495. The camp is for TMBG owners only - you can get your copy for the Internet special price of $187.50 at www.teachmebassguitar.com.
