oh god...
well im 37 now, and when i was a young kid growing up in the 70s and 80s music back then was much more dance oriented. My mom had me in dance class from the time i could walk so keeping the beat was not a problem, but i found myself even as a little boy hearng bass lines and having them stuck in my head...the people i grew up with loved or found later bass wise are these
my orchestra teachers, my poor dad is a classical sort, so when i wanted to play dance music and all that he put me in orchestra, and now im glad he did...I love upbeat dance music, fun stuff. I was lucky to grow up around the north carolina school of the arts so i had alot of people help out with me musically. but here are the list of players i care about, and not in any order this is off the top of my head..
Mick Karn
Bernard Edwards
Lois johnson (brothers johnson)
John Taylor (duran duran)
Pino Palladino (circa paul young don henly)
Mark King Leval 42
Mark Lickley ABC (poison arrow)
Nick Beggs (kajagoogoo)
LOTS of others but as you can see from this list this is more or less the style i love..yes its dated a few players are still very much in the fray though but i have to say i like palladino's fretless work with paul young way over anything he has done lately with john mayer but thats my opinion

DANCE and upbeat stuff

my family,f1 racing, tour de france, working out or cycling
