- Cary Black is a bassist, vocalist, producer, and teacher who lives in Seattle, Washington. Cary is a member of the American String Teachers Association.
He studied music at Western Washington University/Fairhaven College, University of Washington, and Cornish Institute, as well as privately with Jerome Gray and Gary Peacock.
Cary has been an adjunct faculty member in Music Theory, Improvisation, and Bass at The Evergreen State College (1994-2000), and is frequently an instructor at music camp
