Peavey G Bass
Acoustic Image Coda Combo - Previously owned gear:
- Zeta SX-24 Crossover -Great bass for what it is, 34" scale that sounds very much like an upright. Only problem is that it doesn't play or feel like an upright so you have to re-learn the big guy when you want to step up. I would totally recommend it for a BG player who wants the sound, but never intends on actually crossing over.
Modulus Flea -Great bass, obviously, it's a Modulus. But I'll let you in on a little secret: Save yourself $1000-2000 and get a Peavey G Bass instead. As soon as I played a G Bass, I sold my Flea for $1,400 and bought a G Bass of my own off Ebay for $240. It's way better than the Flea. Very similar in features except it has improvements like a 3 band EQ, beautiful Pau Ferro fingerboard, and it's way lighter and better balanced. Equal if not better playability, and better sound. Trust me!
Warwick Corvette- I wanted to love this bass, but in the end I just couldn't do it. It has a lot of great features, like excellent playability, beautiful woods, bell brass frets, adjustable nut, 2 piece bridge, but the drawbacks (HEAVY, unbalanced on the strap, and noisy, blahhhhh electronics) forced me to sell. I like my old active Fortress a lot better. - G.A.S. List:
