Strings I use and like:
DR Hi Beams, Sunbeams and Lo-Riders. D'Addario ProSteels and Chromes, Ernie Ball Super Slinky's, GHS Brite Flats, MTD stainless. DR Hi-Beams are the first choice for most of my basses. The bass itself will actually dictate which strings to use. Some sound better with nickels, some with stainless. - Previously owned gear:

- I'm especially drawn to natural wood finishes, especially quilted or spalted maple, black korina and koa tops. There are many Warmoth basses I would love to make if I had the $$$. Especially a dinky hollowbody jazz or a quilted/spalted maple Precision. P basses get the short end of the stick when it comes to cool tops and finishes.

Sometimes it's just something with a good beat. A good drum rhythm can make me want to play or even a chase scene from a movie soundtrack.
