I bought a matched set for $250 years ago and...

I bought a matched set for $250 years ago and that was my absolute limit. They drifted so much I replaced them with TAD Chinese selected tubes and it sounds as good as it did before.

You might as well get used to the low tension if you like the tone of the Infelds as you will be relearning the instrument....

I think because you can get some really low action with them they might seem lower in tension, but IME they really put some pressure on a neck, and usually require up to a full turn of the truss rod...
