I am thinking a wooden pickguard, which is halfway between the light body colour and the dark fingerboard colour, would be very cool. What do you think?

Also, awesome job on the singlecut. I'm still trying to decide if it looks balanced to me or not... will probably end up just trying the pickguard first as it is a much less costly experiment (not much more than a set of strings).

I have one for you now, which should be kind of fun. Put together a mockup of the most ridiculous instrument you possibly can. Several necks, many, many strings, funky multi-scale fingerboards, more pickups than anyone would know what to do with, etc.
