That's quite a classy looking unit! I 'm not 100% sold on the PG, but I think it would grow on me. How does it sound?

That's one nice looking jazz bass. I even like the pick guard.

Now if it had maple blocks...

That's quite a looker. What can you tell us about Soo Bass? I don't know anything about that maker. Also, how does it play and sound?

Congratulations on a real beauty!

Soo bass is little Korean custom bass shop.

The builder, Yong Soo, Kim has been playing bass about 25+ years and making a few custom basses till recently.

After closing his musical instrument shop at 2007, he's making custom bass full time now.

If interested, I can post pics & samples of his other creations.

If you need any contact info, just PM me.

I swear to god Korea has the coolest looking Jazz basses. That is probably the coolest jazz bass i've ever seen. That pickguard is awesome too.

How could one get their hands on a Soo bass in a America, if possible?

That is the nicest Jazz I have ever seen! I think I'm in love. I have never heard of SOO basses but now I have to say I'm intrigued. Thanks for the info! This is the reason I like TB so much..All of the great info and the wide varieties of player and basses represented here.

Amazing looking bass!

Just a quick question though... hopefully not sounding too newb-ish. .. but with nickel frets, will steel strings just completely obliterate them quickly?

Actually, it's nickel/silver.

But according to article at http://www.rip-n-guitar.com/Guitar-Fretwire.htm it's actually brass with small quantity of nickel.
