Replacement speaker - need recommendations

Hi all - after many years of not playing, I am trying to get back into the bass world. I have a 59 P-bass (bought it when I was 13 years old, in 1968) and a Carvin amp w/a 15" speaker and tweeter combo. The speaker appears to be blown (a few years back, one of my then-teenagers was using the amp) and I need to replace it. It has been too many years (I last played seriously about 15 years ago) and don't know where to start - any recommendations on what to use for a replacement speaker?

Thanks for your help!

I would look for a Celestion or Emminence driver... Emminence is probably the most popular brand of speaker for bass cabs right now. Match up the size, impedance and wattage and you should be good to go. Unfortunately TPB does not stock generic replacement speakers. But if you want to upgrade to a modern, brand new and warranted combo...let us know!

Peace and good luck!
