They could still wreck it, like they did with the XO BMS, 9 volt but non-daisy chainable. Although this doesn't matter to someone like me with an isolated power supply.
Still even though I love my Memory Boy, I've jumped back, after a few gig mishaps, to the DD-20 just because I need presets. For live use, on songs with interlocking guitar and bass delay, I need exact-exactness in the delay time that I can't get by setting the knobs. It doesnt matter at home or in jams or whatever, I don't even really need tap tempo, just need delay time to be the same everytime.
Presets are the only thing missing from these digital/analog hybrid delay pedals at this point. Apart from ridiculous extra modes that digital delays jack on about.

Interesting. I did a google search of the phrase "deluxe memory boy" before I started the thread, and only came up with 4 hits, all message board postings from yesterday. Where did you hear about it before?

Umm, ok where? I'm serious, I just did another Google search on that phrase, and not a single result is from before yesterday. And the guys over at HCFX seem just as surprised by it.

Well, I do feel a need for a delay with an effects loop feature, but I prefer my delays to be digital. Will have to check the Deluxe anyway.

How does this Deluxe Memory Boy compare with the Memory Man?

I'll take one Deluxe and an expression pedal. Damn EHX, the last thing I need is GAS for a fourth delay.

I'd strongly suggest they will be the same Chinese IC's in the boy/toy. Otherwise what is the point in having a essentially 2 Memory Mans?
This is also accounts for the low price despite the huge amount of options.
At this point the Memory Man is expensive because your are esentially buying the rare Panasonic IC's.
I think the Memory Boy sounds fantastic so I'm not turned of by the new chinese IC's at all.

DMB looks awesome. I hope it does not have any problems daisy chaining and all that.
I ever got a EHX pedal and it fried the moment i tried daisy chaining it. Good thing it was a cheaper pedal.

The Deluxe Memory Boy isn't out yet- no one's tried it (at least no one that doesn't have an in with EHX).

I'm curious how the Tap Divide and Exp. Mode controls will be laid out on the Deluxe Memory Boy. Rotary dial, stomp-switch, 5 pole lever, etc etc.
This is the first delay pedal that i've seriously given any heavy thought towards. Pair this with an expression pedal and you outta be able to make some very unique tones.

If you look closely, you can see the little white buttons surrounded by little LED's above the 'M' and 'R' in the 'Memory Boy' label on the pedal; each LED is labeled (rate, depth, etc, and musical notes denoting subdivisions) and when you push the white buttons, the lit LED/function changes to the next and so on. This is the same implementation as the HOG and some other EHX pedals.
