If your not happy with your purchase, put it back on ebay. It is so irritating when someone buys your ebay stuff, doesn't pay up, and your down$$$ paying for the auction, then having to wait seven days before you can go through the whole process again. Have integrity, do the right thing. You also stopped the other bidder from getting the bass.

My wife once asked me why I needed more than one bass. I asked her why she needed more than one pair of black shoes. Her face went blank and she left the room. She doesn't ask gear questions any more. She also picked up an affinity for Coach purses. Now she understands GAS.

Tell the gf it's an investment! They don't make that model of Squier in Korea any longer, so it's bound to go up in price because it's gonna be harder to find them in the future!
Like in the year 2197, maybe!

I'm glad you are getting the bass, good onya.
Don't worry, girlfriends are often 'not happy', so are wives. Get her used to it now, so when you need more gear in the future, you'll be ok. BTW, I wrote a song, which we perform live, for my wife, that helps a lot.

ahaha...nice.
maybe ill convince her that one of bands songs was written with her in mind.
i probably wouldnt have bought it if it had a rosewood neck, its the maple that got me. dont see many squier p basses with maple. i happy with the idea of it now. im past the sticker shock.

If you're freakin about the C-note you spent on it, don't waste your money OR your time doing anything to it but a good setup.
And then play the snot out of it.
Use it or move it along.

Fender won't confirm anything on the Koran serials, but yeah, it's probably a 1992. I have a 1992 Korean Fender P bass (not a squier) and it's a great one. I threw some EMG actives in it and a badass and it rocks. This may be a good one

If you put a bid on an item but didn't really want it, thinking someone else would win, isn't that shill bidding or something like that?

No, you see, you already did buy it. That's what happens when you bid and win. The decision is already made.
