If he's using the standard specs, 3015LFs and 6nd410s, but I know don has used both the B&C 6md38 and the Beyma 605nd in the past, as well as the Faital 6. Any of those would theoretically work as long as the crossover was set up right.

That sounds like overkill to me, but what do I know?

3015LF's and Don recommended the 18 Sound 6NMB420 6.5" for the mid drivers.

Wow. Won't that take over 1500W to get to full power? What sort of gigs you playing?

Yes.
According to Don: "Cab design will follow fEarful 2x15 neo plans---internal bracing and general construction applications may differ if thought to improve on the overall design."

Yeah that was the gist of what Don told me when I ordered. Speaking if which, he said my cab should be built this weekend and sent off to the spray shop on Monday!

I would stick to the 6nd410 for that cab; the 6nd410 is a good bit more efficient, which allows it to be padded back more, which allows for cheaper and easier crossovers IIRC.
Comparing the curves, I think it will be more challenging to use the HF section built into greenboy's designs because of a big spike the 6nmb420 has at 6k.
The crossover Duke designed for the horn on that cab takes into account the smooth upper frequency rolloff of the 6nd410 and the 6nmb420 does not roll off gently. It dips @ 5k and peaks out at 6k and falls off abruptly.
So, in order to use that mid I think you would have to redesign the beautiful crossover Duke did which I would not suggest since it's so cheap and elegant and powerful.

My cab won't have a horn, but I'm sure I'll have further discussions with Don before he gets started on it.

If you're not going to have a horn, I would chat with Don about potentially using a Beyma 605nd. It seems to go a little higher off axis and significantly so on-axis. I could be wrong though...I think Alex Claber from barefaced uses that driver.

The Beyma 605Nd isn't as good for this. The closer spacing you can achieve with the 6ND410 is a significant factor, though it's not the only one.

What do you think about the 6NMb420 Don had recommended?

Don sent my new 6ND410 on Friday, and I received it on Saturday. I installed the new speaker, and it's sounding much better. I'll let it break in a little bit more before I really crank it.
Don also sent me a small check to help pay for shipping the original speaker back to him. Great customer service. I'm considering just voiding the check and eating the shipping back to him.
