My rack isn't photogenic, or just don't have a picture, but wow some people have some $

Arena Rig in Process
This is the big guy, Der Loudenboomer.
Currently it is a 20U Jan-Al shockrack. I need more space.
Korg DTR-1000 tuner
Radial JD-7 Injector feeding the 5 amps
5 AMPEG SVT-4PRO
Furman AS-120 Power Distribution Sequencer
The rear shows the amp with the middle panels removed to see inside. I still need to run the speaker wiring for the top amp. I will need to order some additional plates for the Mid Atlantic System and replace the blank.
When we get the sixth amp it will go where the top stuff is and that stuff will go to the rear with the RF Receiver. The SUB WOOFER AMPS will have to go in another rack. I will probably replace this one with a double 24 Jan-AL when the time comes.

THis is soooo COOL!
JMJ has the old and cool Moog Parametric Eq. Same thing my dad used in his day!
Justin, that totally makes you cool in my book. But now you need to get a sunn 2000s and a 2xjbl15 with a scoop and a "slant plate"

My latest...
I used this last night with my Schroeder 410L in a medium-size club. Exactly what I was looking for! Punch, power and great tone.

Currently None. Just sitting here drinking heavily waiting for Ozzie to call back.
Actually doing a complete build up and hopefully will be putting a show together. I'm semi-retired now so I have time, but not enough money to get this done fast. We hope to do a 1969 vintage hard rock type band. The hope is "new old stock" original type music. Be a big hit with the 55 YO crowd.
Oh yeah this part of the amp will be 350# when we get the other head in there.

Here's the old rack:
Some of that stuff is gone now........ Eden and Warwick 6 were traded off, added an NV215, sold the HS410.
In the process of building the new rack:
GT Electronics Studio preamp (Hi-Fi vintage goodness)
Ashly Sc-40 compressor
BBE Bmax-T (I keep coming back to this one over and over...)
Carvin DCM2000
Adding a second NV215 sometime in 2009........ offing basses to pay for my next love: Sadowsky MV5 !!!

Oddly enough, I've been in the process for years of un-building my racks - both bass rig and club PA. With newer gear arriving along the way it has become increasingly possible to cram more firepower in less space with less weight and still get the sounds and levels I want for both bass rig and sound reinforcement. Some of that too is dispensing with stuff that doesn't really add function, like "power conditioners".
It's sure made "grab the gear and run to a jam" and gigging a lot easier, and nobody least of all me has felt that quality or loudness has suffered in the least. I don't have the very lightest heads, racks, or cabs, but I have the lightest that actually do everything well for me, and I manage to keep wallet bleed minimal...

I agree! I had hoped the Epifani PS1000 would solve this riddle for me but it failed to materialize.
several times now Ive seriously considered dumping components all together in favor of the Carvin B1500, but I just cant get away from tubes.
I'm still waiting for the MI market to produce what it is I truly need. An integrated hybrid amplifier with a multi-tube preamp, simple, effective EQ and making better than 1000 watts at 4 ohms. Channel switching, 2 ohm capabilities and a usable onboard compressor would be on the luxuries list.
The new Mesa M9 Carbine looks promising, and I still hold out hope for the Epifani PS1000 (whatever happened to that anyway?) An Aguilar AG1200 would do nicely as well.
In the meantime, a $400 power amp from Carvin and a $400 preamp from BBE, Demeter or Alembic gives me all the sweetest sounds in Bassdom and all the juice I could ever want to pump thru 2 NV215's ...........all for well under $1000 In fact, I am to pair the Aguilar Tone Hammer with the Carvin DCM and see how it fares as a stand-alone preamp sometime soon here....
Awaiting your reply Epifani...... Aguilar........

heres a thought:
1. you like your amp EQ.
2. you like to boost for a solo.
3. you use your rack EQ as a boost (provided it is FS-able)
if not, then im in the same boat as you are.
